Mount Tahoma students definitely had something to say during a school-wide Family Feud–style game that brought competition, laughter, and holiday spirit together. The Mount Tahoma TV segment featured a live game show inspired by Family Feud, with a Christmas twist and students from every grade ready to compete. 

The host of the show was dressed as Steve Harvey and played by Elijah Bennett, adding humor and personality to the event. Four teams were split by grade level: freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Each round followed the classic Family Feud format. Two players from opposing teams stepped up, raced to hit the buzzer, and tried to answer the question correctly. The team that won control of the board had three chances to guess all the top answers. If they earned three Xs, the other team had a chance to steal all the points. 

The first matchup featured juniors versus freshmen. The energy was high as both teams fought for points, but the juniors came out on top after strong teamwork and quick answers. Next, sophomores faced off against seniors. This round surprised many people, as the sophomores managed to pull ahead and win, showing that experience isn’t everything. 

The final round brought back the juniors and sophomores. With the pressure on, both teams gave it their all. In the end, the sophomores won again, making them the overall winners of the Family Feud event. 

Beyond the competition, the event showed what Mount Tahoma is all about. Students from different grades came together, supported their teammates, and had fun without taking things too seriously. It highlighted community values like belonging, collaboration, and creativity. Everyone had a role, whether they were playing, hosting, or cheering from the sidelines. 

The Christmas theme added to the fun, making the event feel warm and festive during a busy school season. Events like this remind us that school isn’t just about classes — it’s also about connection, school spirit, and creating memories together. 

At Mount Tahoma, moments like these help build a stronger, more united community — and sometimes, all it takes is a buzzer, a good question, and a lot of school pride.
