If you’ve ever tuned in to Mount Tahoma TV (MTTV), you know it's more than morning announcements—it’s a part of our school’s identity. But how did it begin, and where is it headed?

MTTV began as a student-run broadcast where creative expression and community voice came to life. The program earned a dedicated section on the Mount Tahoma High School website under “About → Mount Tahoma TV,” marking its importance to the school. MTTV expanded online via its own YouTube channel, "@mt.tahomatv9969," where over 950 videos share school news, events, and student stories. Mr. Johnson, who taught the class for 7 years, transitioned out. Ms. Brown then took the reins, helping MTTV continue “without missing a beat.”

MTTV didn’t just appear overnight. It’s been through different teachers, tech upgrades, even a full rebrand. Mr. Johnson, the former teacher, shared, “I would have been very sad if it ended after I left, but I’m glad it continued without missing a beat.” His pride echoes the program’s dedication to academic excellence, integrity, and community voice.

Stepping into his shoes was no small feat. Ms. Brown called it “a daunting task, but I’ve gotten the hang of it.” Her adaptability and courage reflect MTTV’s drive to embrace creativity and change.
