Every spring, Mount Tahoma’s plant sale brings students, staff, and families together for more than just flowers and vegetables. Behind the tables full of colorful plants are students working hard, learning new skills, and creating a welcoming experience for the community. 

For many students involved, the plant sale is not only about selling plants—it is about teamwork, responsibility, and connecting with people. Students help organize plants, talk with customers, and keep everything running smoothly throughout the event. While the work can be busy, many students say the experience is rewarding and fun. 

One student shared that working at the plant sale helped them become more confident when talking to people. Others said they learned important skills like communication, patience, and how to work together as a team. Students also gained hands-on experience with gardening and plant care, learning how much time and effort goes into growing healthy plants.
