College Prep: What Seniors Need to Know
Planning for life after high school can feel overwhelming, but Mount Tahoma’s Career Center is here to help. In this episode, I talked with Ms. Angela Phillips, who shared her best advice for students getting ready for college and beyond.
Ms. Phillips explained everything from how to apply for financial aid to where to find scholarships and support. She reminded seniors to check their deadlines early and use the resources available at school — like help with applications, resumes, and letters of recommendation. “Don’t wait until the last minute,” she said. “The sooner you start, the more options you’ll have.”
The video also features two seniors, Corbin and Delilah, who shared their own college plans and what they’ve learned along the way. Their stories show that everyone’s path looks different — and that’s okay.
Whether you’re heading to college, trade school, or still figuring things out, Ms. Phillips’ advice is simple: stay organized, ask questions, and believe in yourself.
