At Mount Tahoma High School, cultural clubs aren’t just about performances—they’re about pride, identity, and community. For my recent segment on Mount Tahoma TV, I talked with the presidents of Viet Club, Khmer Club, Tautua Pasifika, and Latino Club to learn what their clubs mean to them and why they matter to our school.

Each group brings something unique to Mount Tahoma. Whether it’s practicing traditional dances, celebrating heritage months, or preparing for big school performances, these students put in time and energy to share their culture with others.

Viet Club focuses on Vietnamese traditions and community. Khmer Club celebrates Cambodian culture through dance and language. Tautua Pasifika represents Polynesian culture with energy and pride, and Latino Club highlights the many countries and backgrounds within Latin America.

When I interviewed the club presidents, one thing stood out—how much these clubs mean to the members. “It’s a space where I feel seen and proud of who I am,” one student shared. Another said, “We work hard to represent our culture and make others feel welcome too.”

These clubs show what makes Mount Tahoma special: our diversity, our creativity, and the way students come together to celebrate who they are.
