Security guards do more than monitor the halls. They help keep the school safe while also building relationships with students. A common misconception is that they are only there to enforce rules, but they also work to create a positive and supportive environment. Their work reflects values like respect, accountability, and courage.

Programs like Upward Bound and College Success Foundation (CSF) support students with things like college applications, financial aid, and staying on track in school. They help students overcome challenges and reach their goals. Their work connects to equity, hope, and academic excellence.

The school nurse and healthcare staff are also essential. Whether it’s a small issue or something more serious, they are there to help students feel better and get back to class. Their role shows compassion, empathy, and kindness every day.

All of these staff members help create a sense of belonging and community at Mount Tahoma. They may not always get recognition, but they are a big part of what makes our school a supportive place to be.
