2016 was a vibrant and action packed year. Working on this I wanted to highlight events and elements that we experienced during 2016 and during our entire childhood. I spoke to Diego and he brought light to me one of the things many of us missed most, which was being outside with your friends. Playing in your neighborhood without a care in the world. Not worried about grades, sports, family issues, or any other kind of distractions. For me and Diego, one of the things that consumed us and our community was basketball. With Steph Curry revolutionizing the game and winning the first unanimous MVP award in NBA history, Lebron James and the Cavaliers completing the first ever 3-1 comeback in NBA Finals history, Kobe Bryant’s retirement, and Team USA’s Gold Medal Win in the Rio De Janeiro Olympics. 2016 was the year for basketball. This video shows a 1v1 between me and Diego as well as a 2v2 with me and Diego taking on Minh and JJ that goes down to the wire. In the end, 2016 was never about all of the events that took place. What made 2016 so special and what sparks so much nostalgia is the fact that we were able to be kids.
